What’s happening in my craft cave?
Since Christmas is just around the corner (49 days) and I’ve been keeping busy making greeting cards, purse hooks, ornaments and jewelry, I thought I’d better pop back in and blog a little about my progress.
Up Cycled Gift Card Holders
Although I wouldn’t call myself a recycle-junkie or a trash-horder, I do like the idea of upcycling and re-purposing things that make sense.
Take for example, the toilet paper rolls. We definitely use them and either they get recycled or trashed. Over the course of the summer, I asked my family to save and collect them up for me so I can repurpose them for something cool.
I searched online and for the most part, I’ve seen really beautiful mini-albums made using TP rolls and I think they look great! For me, I thought having them as Gift Card holders are great because during Christmas we spend quite a lot on gift cards and gift tags. I’d figured I can definitely pretty up and amalgamate the idea of having a gift card/ gift tag and possibly add a small note (if you’re cute that way) to your Christmas gift! Yeah? Am I SMRT or what?!
