PayTap Rubber Stamps

On August 30, 2012 by Mei

I was contacted by Sarah at PayTap around the end of July with a custom stamp order request.

Took about a week to get all these rubber etched.

At first I wasn’t too sure about it because I’m a small start-up and didn’t think I would be contacted for a larger stamp order. But after having a nice conversation with Sarah and finding out more about their company, it was pretty clear that we could definitely make her company stamps work.

My mounts are less conventional than other stamp makers because I have a few criteria in mind: Upycling and flatter mounts. My first version of stamps (if you’ve been following my stamp trend) were upcycled dowels.

Dowel Version Stamps

These were great except it kept chipping our saw, catching the dowels and most importantly, shipping from Canada with mounts this thick would jump shipping prices from $3 dollars to $6 regular post.

PayTap’s request got me looking for other options and I was able to find the perfect fit for their stamps as well as fulfil my criteria the way I want it!

Check out their site if you’ve got a minute. It’s definitely a unique business plan.
