Yoga has many meanings and forms.  Patanjali loosely defines yoga as cessation of the fluctuations of thought.  North Americans have taken yoga mostly on a physical level and evangelize the practice of yoga physically in order to achieve the cessation of the fluctuation of thought.

We also practice meditation to achieve the same thing which is non-physical.

The goal is to focus or “still” the mind and to connect the body.

When I wake up in the morning, before I get out of bed, I always wiggle my toes and practice yoga on my bed.  I meditate on what I am doing at the moment (mindfulness meditation) and create images in my head on what projects I am about to partake for the day.

Inspired by stillness, blessings and motivated by “believe” all my products are handmade and inspired by Tantric Yoga Philosophy.

Every card, t-shirt or jewelry is made with love. Enjoy.

Your Destiny

On December 11, 2009 by admin

Our body is designed as a life-affirming energetic instrument that illuminates strength and expands with beauty when space is created through breath work. Light radiates around your energetic body when proper attitude, alignment and action are rallied together to perform a masterpiece of your being.

When we compromise this masterpiece, we place ourselves in a position of vulnerability. Our breath no longer fill the lungs and open our heart and chest. The light that once shone fully is dimmed and space becomes hollow instead of full. Our minds wonder and even question the validity of our practice. A story that does not end with a happily ever after.

Yoga, with its ever expansive meaning, is to unite the thoughts and the body into one complete masterpiece. I leave you with your own interpretation and a quote I’ll always remember:

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Witness your own destiny. Namaste.
