Last week, I did an experiment with my peers where we sat in a circle and shared, felt, and experienced energy sources exchange from one hand to another. As Dan led the exercise and we opened to grace to receive what was given to us and then passed that energy to the person to our right.
That was a type of group meditation to understand energetic movement of the body that cannot be seen through the eyes.
Bernie Clark has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1998. He takes a scientific approach to his studies and has travelled all over India to visit the gurus and yoga teachers to learn about the history of yoga.
He spent 10 hrs over several days to talk about how yoga came to be today. My golly, what modern yoga is today is definitely not what it was 8000years back. The myths that were told sometimes even resembled stories told by great teachers, prophets, and peoples of great religious power from all over the world. It kinda puts me into perspective on who we really are as human beings and the things we believe and have faith in.
